Album Announcement – ‘HUM’

Announcing cmntx records’ debut album – a collaborative release from composers Marc Giguere, Alex Ring Gray, and Vicki Leona Nguyen – 'HUM' is due out 12/3/21.

Composed and recorded in a single afternoon at Giguere’s home in Nashville, TN in the summer of 2019, the creative foundation was the scavenging and building of instruments between the three composers. The work is structured in three sections derived from this collection: bowed metals, strings, and struck metals. These sections dovetail with one another, forming one extensive evolution through different sound environments. The resulting textures range from thin and delicate to dense washes of sound.

The album will be available in stereo and immersive spatial audio formats (Dolby Atmos available on Apple Music, TIDAL, and Amazon Music; Binaural Headphone Mix available on Bandcamp).
