Proximity - Zachary Mezzo // Limited Edition Cassette
Limited edition cassette featuring artwork by Kristian de Leon. Edition of 100.
Usually reserved for objects and things, I have been imagining the word Proximity as an artificial way to describe our relationships and personal intimacy. Musically, the concept translated to a wide spatial and dynamic range, blending seemingly opposite ideas of subtle home recordings and oppressive walls of sound. Our proximity to each other doesn’t correlate to our togetherness and community. More of us are more connected than ever, yet somehow still chronically lonely and dehumanized.
