Zachary Mezzo (he/him) is a composer and violinist based in Brooklyn. His work aims to push beyond traditional expectations through the use of electronic processing and a focus on physicality in performance. Zach’s music blends delicate atmospheres, rhythmic urgency, and noise, combining classical forms with experimental electronic and off-beat popular music. His upcoming EP Proximity (cmntx records), and accompanying live set, introduces a raw production style to his existing practice and explores what it means to be a violinist today. Beyond his work as a solo artist, Zach often scores film or visual art projects and is a member of the punk band Catcher.
