bio
Mischa Falkenburg, aka Mis Chaf, mixes and manipulates layers of found materials and improvisations. His work deals with tape experimentation, free improvisation, sound manipulation, and composed soundscapes. His own experiences reflect in and influence his music–years of working on a deep sea oil rig and as a late night radio host, among other unique jobs. The result, Mischa describes, is “putting things together that weren’t”. He began learning woodwinds at a young age, and has recorded a rich archive of original compositions and improvisations for alto clarinet, keyboards, guitars, and electronics, among others.
